History

The history of Çaxırlı village dates back to ancient times. Archive research conducted in the area shows that the village is recorded in Ottoman-era documents, maps, and ethnographic sources.

In the 19th–20th centuries, the village was a living example of Azerbaijani culture, agriculture, and social life. The school, mosque, and residential buildings formed the cultural centre of the village.

The deportation events of 1988–1990 added one of the darkest chapters to the history of the Çaxırlı community.
